# Present Day

**The world is new. Humans have evolved and thrived. New technology, new cities, more than 8 Billion people.**

The Ancient Vampires learned that humans continued to study their technology in secret. Most of the microchip and nanotech breakthroughs were possible thanks to the Runes technology.

Now, awaken in a new world, they must catch up and start over, as the Runes command it.
